They had to work on people’s farm at the age of 11 in order to get food and basic necessities and have been fending for themselves since then.

After staying off from school one day to earn money to buy a book ‘’Cockcrow’’, he met his head master and explained to him his struggles in life and the reason he couldn’t make it to school. The head master advised Sylvanus not to feel deprived and to take his studies serious.

His story was very pathetic to himself.

Elder brother – incapacitated

Mother – Single Parent

Twin brother – physically challenged

Before the completion of Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE), his basic school Teacher bought an entrance exam form to St James Seminary where he chose science but because his BECE results wasn’t the best even though it was the best in the town, he got Business which he was enthused even though disappointed.

Apparently, he had nothing to do than to take up the opportunity. He narrated his journey at St James and from his speech, it was tough, no books, no money…

Studies was so difficult but he looked back to where he comes from and the responsibility on him and forged ahead. He completed Senior High School with 8As in 2021. We got forms for him to study BSc Commerce (Accounting) and he has gained an admission.

We plead to ask for support on his behalf to cater for his education at the University of Cape
Coast.

Attached is his admission letter.
